Robert J. Larson was born Nov. 2, 1921 to James Peter and Mary Anna Uglow Larson. He died in 1944 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France and has a cenotaph in Clearfield Cemetery, Ringgold Co., IA.
Pvt. Larson served in World War II with the U.S. Army 313th Infantry Regiment, 79th Infantry Division and was MIA/KIA. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
