James Russell Larson was born Feb. 27, 1920 to Joseph L. and Ruth C. Richardson Larson. He died Feb. 23, 2009 and is buried in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
Col. Larson served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II. He was Alvin Anderson’s Operations Officer.
