James Norman Kraschel was born Mar. 25, 1924 to Nelson George and Agnes Johnson Kraschel. He died Sept. 24, 1945 and is buried in Harlan Cemetery, Harlan, IA.
Cpl. Kraschel served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps with the 868th Bomb Squadron and died on Okinawa, Ryukyu Islands in the service of his country.
