Donald Otto Kosbau was born Mar. 5, 1918 to Otto August and Esther L. Hansmeier Kosbau. He died Dec. 24, 1944 and is buried in Oakland Cemetery, Waukon, IA. He is also memorialized at Henri-Chappelle American Cemetery, Henri-Chappelle, Belgium.
Pvt. Kosbau served in World War II with the U.S. Army, Co. K, 329th Infantry Regiment, 83rd Infantry Division and died of wounds received in action in Belgium.
