Lt. Walter Koenig, who was transferred from Asheville, N. C., to Sioux City, a week ago, received orders to report at Godwin Field and left immediately for that place.

NEWS of the Boys in the Service.

Lt. Walter “Buzz” Koenig, who has been stationed at the air base in Sioux City, will leave Wednesday for Chanute Field, Ill. He will be there about six weeks attending a cryptography school.

SOLDIER NEWS.

Lieut. Walter C. Koenig, arrived here Friday morning from Howard, Neb., for a 10-day visit in the home of his parents.  Lieut. Koenig is a member of the signal corps and was sent to Harvard from the Sioux City base.

Walter Campbell “Buzz” Koenig was born Feb. 22, 1920 to Walter and Jessie Campbell Koenig. He died Oct. 14, 1991 and is buried in Fort Scott National Cemetery, Fort Scott, KS.
