Herbert Albert Friedrich Koch was born Aug. 13, 1913 to Chris and Anna M. Pifgras Koch. He died June 13, 1944 and is buried in Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial, Colleville-Sur-Mer, Normandy, France.
Pvt. Koch served in World War II with the U.S. Army 175th Infantry, 29th Division and was KIA in Normandy. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
