Eugene J. Kloewer was born June 25, 1921 to Frank Anton and Anna Rau Kloewer. He died Sept. 15, 1944 and is buried in Epinal American Cemetery, Dinoze, France and has a cenotaph in Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, Defiance, IA.
Pvt. Kloewer served in World War II with the U.S. Army 753rd Tank Battalion and was KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.
