Clifford Jay Kjolhede was born Dec. 31, 1919 to Chris and Esther Laurene Jensen Kjolhede. He died Nov. 3, 1943 and is buried in Scandinavian Cemetery, Alta, IA.
Lt. Kjolhede served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 807th Bomb Squadron, 471st Bomb Group from the Pueblo Army Air Base. He was a bombardier aboard a B-24J Liberator and one of ten airmen killed when the aircraft crashed five miles west of Pueblo, CO.
