Howard LeRoy Kimsey was born Aug. 4, 1921 to Bert Oscar and Sadie Luella Buttolph Kimsey. He died Feb. 9, 1944 and is buried in Pilot Mound Cemetery, Pilot Mound, IA.
Sgt. Kimsey served with the U.S. Army in World War II in Co. K, 128th Infantry Regiment, 32nd Division and was KIA near Saidor, New Guinea.
