Clair Eugene Kennedy was born July 8, 1922 to Louis S. and Emma F. Behnken Kennedy. He died Oct. 1, 1944 and is buried in Epinal American Cemetery, Dinoze, France.
Pvt. Kennedy served in World War II with the U.S. Army 142nd Infantry Regiment, 36th Infantry Division and died of wounds received in action near Tendon, France. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
