R. G. JULIAN DIES IN UTAH
WAS STRICKEN BY PNEUMONIA
R. G. Julian, 32, widely known Webster City businessman, died Wednesday evening at Kerns, Utah, where he was stationed at an army air corps basic training center. Death was caused by pneumonia.
Mr. Julian was evidently stricken suddenly because his parents received two telegrams simultaneously Thursday evening—one telling of his serious illness and the other of his death. Funeral arrangements are pending with Foster’s in charge.
Had Station
For the past six years Julian had operated the Standard Oil service station at the corner of Second and Superior streets, previous to which he had been located at the station on Seneca and Bank.
He enlisted in the service in September and took two months’ training at Estherville after which he was home for two months, subject to call. On Jan. 9 he was called to Kerns, Utah and has been there since that time.
His mother and father make their home in Webster City. Besides his parents, one sister, Velda, of Kansas City, Mo., survives. There are also several uncles and aunts.

As an example of his ability, Mr. Julian was cited for several consecutive years as being the outstanding tire salesman for his company in this territory—a record that few men in the organization could match.
