Eugene H. Jones was born Jan. 7, 1916 to William and Goldie Carrel Jones. He died July 17, 1943/FOD July 18, 1944 *and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands and has a cenotaph in Cole Cemetery, Decatur County, IA.
Sgt. Jones served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 333rd Squadron, 94th Group and died in the service of his country on Helgoland Island. He was first reported MIA. **He was awarded the Air Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster.
