Sgt. D. R. Jolin Hurt in Action
The condition of S. Sgt. Dorence R. Jolin, who was wounded seriously in action July 13 in France, is normal, according to word received recently from the war department by his wife, Lorraine, 122 S. Center Street. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
Sgt. Jolin, a son of Mrs. Caroline Jolin, 1120 W. Fifth Street, left with the first group of national Guards for Camp Claibourne, La. He later spent one year in Ireland. For the last seven months he has been in the 30th division of the infantry overseas.
He has a daughter, Carol Ann, nearly 30 months old. He is a graduate of Trinity High School.
