Kenneth G. Satre, Boatswains Mate Second Class enlisted in the Navy Sept. 2, 1941 and had his boot training at Great Lakes. He served in the Pacific area three years.
Pfc. Irving G. Satre left for army service Feb. 1, 1943 and had his training at Camp Swift, TX. He served in Germany.
Pfc. Vernel L. Satre left for service in the army in July 1944 and had his training at Camp Hood, TX. He went overseas in Jan. 1945, was wounded in Feb. and sent to a hospital in England.
Sgt. Russell A. Johnson enlisted in the army July 10, 1942 and took his training at Camp Grant, IL. He served in New Guinea and the Philippine Islands. Russell is married to the former Myrtle Satre.

Russell Arthur Johnson, Jr. was born Sept. 28, 1920 to Russell A. (Sr.) and Ella Berger Johnson. He died June 24, 1993 and is buried in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY.
