Edward Gerald Johnson was born Nov. 27, 1924 to George H. and Etta Rieken Johnson. He died Jan. 20, 1945 and is buried in the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial, Manila, Philippines.
Pvt. Johnson served with the U.S. Army in World War II with the 169th Infantry, 43rd Division. He was KIA on Luzon and was awarded the Purple Heart.
