Clyde Benjamin Johnson was born Mar. 20, 1918 to John C. and Katherine “Kate" Holly Johnson. He died Mar. 1, 1945 and is buried in Monona Cemetery, Monona, IA.
Pvt. Johnson served in World War II with the U.S. Army Medical Dept., 41st Armored Infantry, 2nd Armored Division and was KIA in Germany. He was awarded the Silver, Purple Heart and a citation for devotion to duty.
