Arthur H. Johnson was born March 15, 1921 to Arthur Harold and Mabel Kentoff Johnson. He died May 6, 2009 and is buried in North Lawn Cemetery, Fort Dodge, IA.
Capt. Johnson (then a 2nd Lt.) served as a bombardier/navigator with the 564th Bomb Squadron, 389th Bomb Group that flew to the Ploesti oil fields on a B-24 bomber during "Operation Tidal Wave”. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.
