Herluf Valdemar Jensen was born Nov. 23, 1910 to Anders and Anne Simonsen Jensen. He died Oct. 16, 1942 and is buried in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Kimballton, IA.
Petty Officer Jensen served in World War II with the U.S. Navy Seabees and was KIA while serving with Naval Construction Battalion 6 on Guadalcanal.
