SOLDIER’S NEWS.
ITALY—Paul E. Jahn, 27, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Jahn, of Hinton, has been promoted to the rank of corporal, according to information released by his unit headquarters. Prior to his entry into the army in August 1942, Corporal Jahn was engaged in farming. He began his overseas service in August 1943, and is at present a mail courier with an ordnance supply and maintenance company of the 15th air force service command. Having served in the European, African and Middle Eastern theaters, Cpl. Jahn has been awarded the EAME service campaign ribbon with one bronze star, and the army good conduct medal.

Paul Edgar Jahn was born Apr. 30, 1917 to William Paul and Emma Elise Marie Behrens Jahn. He died July 19, 1999 and is buried in LaMonte Cemetery, LaMonte, MO.
