Ernest Harrison Hutton was born July 4, 1916 to Cecil Avalo and Grace I. Richmond Hutton. He died Feb. 2, 1944 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Cambridge American Cemetery, Cambridge American Cemetery, Cambridge, England and has a cenotaph in Mount Zion Cemetery, Martinsburg, IA.
Lt. served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 703rd Bomb Squadron, 445th Bomb Group, Heavy and was MIA/KIA in the European area. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Air Medal.
