Herbert Joseph Humphrey was born June 10, 1921 to Joseph and Clara E. Brink Humphrey. He died Jan. 10, 2007 and is buried in Lena Burial Park, Lena, IL.
Pvt. Humphrey served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps and became a POW of the Japanese. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
