Sievert Bernard “Barney” Holtkamp was born Jan. 27, 1919 to Herman B. and Theda Catherine Reints Holtkamp. He died Dec. 13, 2005 and is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Shell Rock, IA.
Sievert served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Livermore (DD-429).
