Pvt Charles W. Hollenhors, son of Mrs. Lucille Sheerer, 328 West Fourth street, has returned to his station in Savannah, Ga., after spending a 15-day furlough here.

Charles Hollenhors
Charles W. Hollenhors, 58, of 818 Fifth street SE, died Monday in Veterans hospital at Iowa City after a brief illness. Born in Yuma, Colo., Jan 3, 1913, he had resided in Cedar Rapids since 1949. He was a former employee of Iowa Steel and Iron Works, and was a member of Hanford post of the American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, the former Martha Knauer, to whom he was married June 21, 1947; two brothers, Albert Hollenhors of McCook, Neb., and Cecil Hollenhors of Cedar Rapids.
Services: Thursday at 10 a.m. in Brady-Kuba funeral home by the Rev. Clarence Frana of St. Wenceslaus church. Burial: Sisley Grove. Friends may call at Brady-Kuba after 7 p.m. Tuesday. Rosary Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. Military graveside services by Hanford post, American Legion.
