Mack Donald Hellyer was born Oct. 11, 1923 to Isaac H. and Mattie J. Bentley Hellyer. He died Nov. 21, 1982 and is buried in Morris Hill Cemetery, Boise, ID.
Senior MSgt. Hellyer served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 857th Bomb Squadron, Nucci Crew, as Flight Engineer. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters.
