Denison, Iowa – Funeral services for Herbert H. Hansen, 23, seaman second class, who died Thursday at Davisville, Rhode Island, following a brief illness, were held Tuesday afternoon at Hanover Church and burial was in the Denison Cemetery. After enlisting in the navy January 29, he received training at Camp Perry and Camp Bradford and later was sent to Quonset Point, Rhode Island.

Herbert Hans Peter Hansen was born Sept. 29, 1919 to Fred and Anna Meyer Hansen. He died July 15, 1943 and is buried in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Denison, IA.
