Richard Albert Hancock was born June 28, 1922 to William and Signa Peterson Hancock. He died Sept. 22, 1944 and is buried in Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines, IA.
Sgt. Hancock served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 451st Bomb Group, 724th Bomb Squadron, 15th Air Force and died while in the service of his country as the result of the head-on collision of two trains in Terre Haute, Indiana.
