Frank Hurst Dies at 44
Frank Hurst, 44, died Wednesday at the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines where he had been a patient the past 10 days. He had been in poor health for several years.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Foster funeral home with the Rev. D. C. Kooy officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery. Military rites will be held at the grave.
Frank Hurst, son of James and Tillie Hurst, was born March 25, 1907, at Webster City. He was reared and educated here, and was employed in Webster City before entering the service Jan. 28, 1942 at Webster City. He served in the African, Italian and European campaigns, being discharged Sept. 10, 1945, and returned to Webster City, his home since.
He is survived by one daughter, Dorothy; by his mother, Mrs. Tillie Hurst of Webster City; three brothers, George of Webster City, Virgil of Baltimore, Md., and Richard Hurst of Fort Dodge. He was preceded in death by his father, one sister and one brother.
Mr. Hurst was a member of the American Legion in Webster City.
