James O. Hunter was born Sept. 30, 1911 to Harry and Rose Dvorak Hunter. He died Jan. 8, 1945 and is buried in Calvary Cemetery, Cresco, IA.
Pvt. Hunter served in World War II with the U.S. Army 112th Infantry, 28th Infantry Division. and was MIA/KIA near Wanne, Belgium in the Battle of the Bulge.
