Robert Theodore Hoversten was born June 9, 1923 to Elmer T. and Josephine Sunde Hoversten. He died Oct. 13, 1944 and is buried in Saint Olaf Lutheran Cemetery, Bode, IA.
Sgt. Hoversten served with the U.S. Army, L Company, 313th Infantry Regiment, 79th Division in World War II. He was KIA in France.
