Sheldon, Iowa—Henry Houtsma, son of Mr. and Mrs. Neal Houtsma of Hospers and a nephew of Mrs. O. D. Kapsen of Sheldon, received two pieces of shrapnel in one foot, which had to be operated on in Africa, according to a letter received by his parents at Hospers.

Sheldon, Iowa—A former member of Company I, Sheldon national guard unit, Corporal Henry C. Houtsma of Hosper, Iowa was slightly wounded in action in north Africa, according to word received by his parents.

OUR NEIGHBORS in the SERVICES.

Boyden, Iowa – T. Sgt. Henry Houtsma, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Houtsma, is home after receiving an honorable discharge through the point system. He entered service in February 1941, with company I of Sheldon, and served overseas three and a half years. He was wounded twice.
