Joseph ‘Joe’ Hanson was born Sept. 5, 1915 to Olaf J. and Anna Nelsena Challe Hanson. He died Mar. 7, 2000 and is buried in Homewood Cemetery, Ellsworth, IA.
Joe served with the U.S. Army in World War II with Battery B, 433rd and Battery A, 47th Signal Heavy Construction Battalions.
