Warren Edward Hanks was born Dec. 29, 1915 to Edward Clinton and Martha Allie Burton Hanks. He died Feb. 22, 1944 and is buried in Cambridge Cemetery, Cambridge, IA.
Lt. Hanks served as a pilot/instructor with the U.S. Army in World War II. He died in a plane crash at Matagorda Island, Texas.
