Mapleton Men With the Armed Forces
Corp. Herbert Hahn has been transferred to Fort Monmouth New Jersey from Camp Crowder, Missouri. He is in the Army Signal corps and a son of Mr. & Mrs. Herbert Hahn Sr. of Mapleton.

Herbert M. Hahn, Jr. was born Oct. 14, 1919 to Herbert (Sr.) and Jennie Lucile Hall Hahn.
Herbert served in World War II with the U.S. Army 3299th Signal Service Radio Relay from the European Theatre, all the way from Africa, into Malta, and around Sicily, Italy (at the Anzio Beachhead), France and Germany where he helped transport communications equipment and operated at radio relay stations.
He is celebrating his 100th birthday, Oct. 14, 2019!
