Bernard Bertrum Haas was born Oct. 4, 1920 to Peter Leo and Susie Agnes Little Haas. He died Nov. 19, 1943 and is buried in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Dubuque, IA.
Flight Officer Haas served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps and died at the station hospital at Laurinburg-Maxton Air Base, Maxton, NC as the result of a glider crash.
