John Richard Grove was born Dec. 26, 1921 to Frank Robert and Ruth Esther Miller Grove. He died Nov. 8, 1941 and is buried in Highland Cemetery, Bayard, IA.
Pvt. Grove served with the U.S. Army 113th Cavalry Band and died at Camp Bowie, TX as the result of a motorcycle accident while in the service of his country.
