Jay Edgar Gordon was the son of David & Margaret McClain Gordon. He was born Apr. 27, 1920 and educated at Homer, Iowa. In 1945, he married Ella Gordon in Webster City. He was a roofing contractor, residing in Davenport and Rock Island, Ill. For the past five years resided in Fort Dodge.
Jay died May 16, 1993 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, IA.
He is survived by son, Ronald, Fort Dodge; daughter, Janice Phillips, Webster City; 9 grandchildren; 5 g-grandchildren; brothers, Frank, Webster City, Lyle, Satellite, Calif., and Dale, Waukegan, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister, and son, Logan.
