Glenn Eldon Gommels was born June 29, 1924 to Edward E. and Ellen Pearl Friesner Gommels. He died Sept 18, 1944 and is buried in Ardennes American Cemetery and Memorial, Neuville-en-Condroz, Liege, Belgium and has a cenotaph at Rose Hill Cemetery, Manson, IA.
Sgt. Gommels served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II and MIA/KIA in the European Theater of Operations. He was awarded the Air Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters.
