Wilbur Ralph Geerdes was born Sept. 4, 1926 to John Ralph and Wilhelmina Baumann Geerdes. He died Dec. 11, 1945 and is buried in Harrison Township Cemetery, Swea City, IA.
Pvt. Geerdes served in World War II with the U.S. Army Headquarters and Headquarters Co. 7th Infantry Division and died while in the service of his country.
