David George Gault was born Sept. 20, 1921 to David Earl and Pauline Marie Holland Gault. He died Sept. 4, 1944 and is buried in Woodland Cemetery, Des Moines, IA.
Lt. Gault served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 720th Bomber Squadron, 450th Bomber Group, Heavy and was MIA/KIA over Italy and awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Purple Heart and Air Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters.
