Robert Allen Funk was born Oct. 7, 1919 to Floyd Jack and Ethel Fairrell Funk. He died Aug. 27, 1944 and is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Shenandoah, IA.
Lt. Funk served in World War II with the U.S. Army 116th Infantry 29th Infantry Division and was KIA in France.
