Paul Eldon Fleckenstein was born Jan. 21, 1915 to Joseph and Anna Butlett Fleckenstein. He died June 19, 1987 and is buried in Saint Josephs Cemetery, Waverly, IA.
Petty Officer Fleckenstein served with the U.S. Navy in World War II aboard the USS LST 638.
