Edward C. Finkbine was born Sept. 4, 1923 to Robert Hoyt and Augusta Finkbine. He died Mar. 13, 1945 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Luxembourg American Cemetery, Luxembourg and in Woodland Cemetery, Des Moines, IA.
Lt. Finkbine served in World War II with the U.S. Army 3rd Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron and was MIA/KIA in the service of his country. He was awarded the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster.
