Emerson Chester Fie was born in 1913. He died Aug. 15, 1943 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines and in Evergreen Cemetery, George, IA.
Sgt. Fie served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 400th Bomber Squadron, 90th Bomber Group, Heavy and was MIA/FOD/KIA in the Southwest Pacific while serving his country. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Air Medal.
