David James Evans was born May 6, 1922 to Luther R. and Adeline Lucille ‘Lucille’ Tibbles Evans. He died Apr. 29, 1945 and is memorialized in the Sicily-Rome American Cemetery and Memorial, Nettuno, Italy.
Sgt. Evans served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II with the 720th Bomber Squadron, 450th Bomb Group(H) and was MIA/KIA in the European Theatre of Action. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Air Medal.
