Roland H. Erdman was born Sept. 21, 1920 to Jake and Charlotte “Lottie” Erdman. He died Mar. 22, 1944 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands.
Sgt. Erdman was serving with the 786th Bomber Squadron, 466th Bomber Group of the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II at the time of his death. He was first reported MIA, later as KIA in Berlin, Germany. He was awarded a Purple Heart and Air Medal.
