Merle Silas Engelson was born Feb. 7, 1924 to Elmer W. and Thea Emmett Engelson. He died Sept. 15, 2009 and is buried in the Stavanger Cemetery, Hardin County, IA.
Merle served in World War II with the U.S. Navy Hospital Corps.
