Pvt. James Elmore Also in Australia
James Elmore, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mart Elmore, Union township, though in the service but eight months, is now serving in Australia. He was a member of the contingent which left Algona in January, 1942.

James Oren Elmore was born Mar. 7, 1920 to Oren and Grace Drury Elmore. He died Feb. 22, 1945 and is buried in Lincoln Memorial Park, Portland, OR.
GySgt. Elmore served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps.
