Melvin Isaac Ellison was born Jan. 4, 1919 to Floyd H. and Louise Agnes Peterson Ellison. He died Nov. 19, 1944 and is buried in Woodbine Cemetery, Woodbine, IA.
Pvt. Ellison served in World War II with the U.S. Army Co. I, 3rd Battalion, 12th Infantry and died of wounds received in action in Germany.
