Wayne M. Ellis was born Feb. 11, 1920 to Clarence and Adah Viola Ellis. He died Oct. 27, 1944 and is buried in Manila American Cemetery and Memorial, Manila, Philippines.
Pvt. Ellis served with the U.S. Army in World War II with Co. L, 19th Infantry and died of wounds received in action on Leyte Islands in the Philippines. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
