John Mark Ellis was born Aug. 29, 1915 to John and Grace Johnson Ellis. He died Dec. 19, 2003 and is buried in Lawn Hill Cemetery, Stanhope, IA.
Pvt. Ellis served with the U.S. Army in World War II with a Railroad Operating Battalion in North Africa, Italy, France and Germany.
